Nestled in the quaint hamlet of Olcott, New York, Bye's Popcorn has been a tradition for many. Located on Route 78 about 60 seconds from the Lake Ontario waterfront, Bye's is a widely known destination for travelers. Since 1923, Bye's Popcorn has been serving gourmet popcorn and caramel corn to visitors near and far. We cannot be more happy to say we've been doing it for over 100 years.

A. No, there have been 3 owners, with the second owners, owning the stand since 1969. They have now passed Bye's on to another local family who have been tasked with carrying on the tradition started by the Byes family over 100 years ago.

A. If we told you, it wouldn't be a secret.
Q. Ever thought of a second location?
A. No, our plan is only to have the original popcorn stand created by the Bye's family.

Q. Do you accept credit/debit cards/Apple Pay?
A. No, we are cash only.
Q. Do you sell your raw seed/un-popped kernels?
A. We do not.
Q. Does "White" Popcorn mean White Cheddar?/Do you have Cheese Popcorn?
A. We use the term "White" to differentiate between our Lightly-Buttered and Lightly-Salted Popcorn and our Caramel-Glazed Caramel Corn./We have Cheese Popcorn only on certain holidays (check the homepage to see if available).
Q. Do you have kettle corn?
A. We have never had kettle corn with the clear sugar glaze. If you are looking for sweet, look at our Caramel-Glazed Caramel Corn.
Q. How do you protect/store the Caramel Corn?
A. Since our Caramel Corn does not have any preservatives in it, so the humidity and weather can affect it, leave the Caramel Corn in the bag it's packaged in, even if it's half a bag, and put it in a Ziploc bag and put it in the freezer. It will not freeze solid (don't microwave it!) and it will stay crisp for as long as you could ever need it (years!) and can also snap it back if the humidity/weather affects it.
